We are looking for a RICS registered surveyor to join our field team covering Norfolk and north Suffolk. You will carry out Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys and mortgage valuations on residential property, working from home with a patch built around where you live.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being out on site every day and wants the backing of a national panel without the admin that usually comes with it. Our scheduling team books your diary, our support desk handles client queries, and you concentrate on the inspection and the report.
Most of our surveyors are out of the house by eight and finished inspecting by mid-afternoon, writing up from home. You will have a regional manager who has done the job themselves, a peer group on hand for second opinions, and a patch that respects your travel time rather than sending you across three counties in a day.
We review workload weekly rather than pushing volume at you, and we would far rather you flag a difficult inspection early than fight it alone.
You will be RICS registered and confident working on your own judgement out in the field. Beyond that, we care most about the quality of your reasoning and how you deal with people on the doorstep.
None of the following are essential, but they would be useful.
If you require any reasonable adjustments for any part of the recruitment process, please let our recruitment team know within your covering letter. Individuals with different cultures, perspectives and experiences are at the heart of the way SDL Surveying works.
We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, marriage and civil partnerships, and ex-offenders.
